Validation runs as you type. Format keeps your keys in their original order.

🛠️ How to Use This Tool

  1. 1.Paste your JSON into the box — an example is already filled in.
  2. 2.Click Format to pretty-print it with 2-space indentation, or Minify to strip all extra whitespace.
  3. 3.Read the error line if the JSON is invalid: the message shows where parsing stopped.
  4. 4.Copy output to paste the clean JSON anywhere — a document, an API test, a config file.
  5. 5.Nothing is uploaded. All checking happens in your browser.

❓ FAQ

What does the JSON formatter do?

It takes raw JSON and rewrites it with 2-space indentation so nested objects and arrays are easy to read. Keys stay in the order you wrote them, and nothing about your data changes — only the whitespace.

How do I find a JSON syntax error?

Paste or type your JSON and the validator checks it as you type. When the JSON is invalid, it shows the parser's error message plus the line and column where parsing stopped, so you can jump straight to the problem.

What is the difference between Format and Minify?

Format adds line breaks and 2-space indentation for humans to read. Minify removes all unnecessary whitespace so the JSON is as small as possible for sending over a network. Both keep the exact same data.

Is my JSON uploaded anywhere?

No — 100% free, no sign-up. All formatting and validation happens in your browser; your JSON is never sent to a server.
