📐 How to Use This Image Resizer

  1. 1.Drop in a photo. Drag any image onto the box, or tap it to browse your phone or computer. Its original dimensions appear right away.
  2. 2.Type a width or height. With the aspect-ratio lock on, the other side fills in automatically so the photo never looks stretched.
  3. 3.Or tap a preset. 1920 × 1080 for video and desktops, 1280 × 720 for HD, 1080 × 1080 for square social posts, 800 × 600 for web pages.
  4. 4.Choose PNG or JPG. JPG gives smaller files for photos; PNG keeps transparency and sharp edges for logos and screenshots.
  5. 5.Preview, then download. The new dimensions and file size update live — download when it looks right.

❓ FAQ

Does my photo get uploaded to a server?

No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API — your file never leaves your device, is never uploaded, saved or tracked. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

What does the aspect-ratio lock do?

With the lock on, changing the width automatically adjusts the height (and vice versa) so the photo keeps its original proportions and never looks stretched or squished. Turn the lock off when you need an exact size with different proportions, such as a 1080 × 1080 square from a wide photo.

Can I make an image bigger than the original?

Yes — you can upscale, and the tool will happily output larger dimensions. Just know that upscaling cannot invent detail the original never had, so a much larger version may look soft. For best quality, resize down from the largest original you have.

Is this image resizer free?

Yes — 100% free, no sign-up, no watermarks and no file limits. Resize as many images as you like, one at a time.
